Publishing is a labour of love, but sometimes it feels more like wrestling with giants. Lulu, the platform I use to make my books available, has recently increased its printing fees. On top of that, Amazon takes such a large cut that for most titles I end up receiving as little as 5% of the cover price. In other words, almost everything you pay goes to the middlemen, not to the person who actually wrote the book.

There is a much better way. If you buy directly through Lulu, you support the work far more directly. Lulu often offers discount codes. A quick search online will usually turn up one, and you can save up to 15% on your order. I also put the books on sale regularly, so there are plenty of chances to get them at a lower price.

So, if you enjoy the books and want to see more of them, please consider ordering straight from Lulu.com rather than Amazon. It means a fairer share comes back to me, and it helps keep this work sustainable.
